What water park equipment costs in the UAE
Realistic AED budget ranges for commercial water park equipment in Dubai and the UAE, plus the civil works, plant, shade and freight costs that sit outside the equipment quotation.
Nobody publishes prices in this industry, which leaves developers unable to decide whether an aquatic feature belongs in a scheme at all. Here are working ranges in AED, based on the equipment we supply. They are not quotations — but they are honest orders of magnitude, which is what feasibility work actually needs.

The costs outside the equipment quotation
This is where aquatic budgets fail. Equipment is frequently under half the delivered project cost.
Civil works
Pools, decks, foundations, channels. Built by your contractor. For a play structure or splash pad, commonly 40–80% of equipment value. For a wave pool or lazy river the civil works usually exceed the equipment cost — you are constructing a large watertight structure.
Plant and treatment
Pumps, filtration, balance tanks, dosing, pipework and the room to hold it. 15–35% of equipment value, higher for recirculating systems and higher again for large water volumes.
Freight and duty
8–15% of equipment value delivered to a UAE port. GCC common external tariff is typically 5% of CIF, subject to classification.
Installation
10–20% of equipment value. Carried out by your contractor or a specialist installer — we supply, we do not install.
Shade
Regularly forgotten and never optional here. Over a splash pad, shade frequently costs as much as the water features. Without it you lose the middle of the day for most of the year, which removes the majority of the return.
A feasibility multiplier
For early-stage modelling, take the equipment figure and multiply by 2.0 to 2.8 for a delivered, installed, operational attraction in the UAE. Lower end for a splash pad on an existing slab; higher end for anything requiring a new pool.
What moves a price
- Height. Tower height drives steel, foundations, staircase and pump head simultaneously. A 12 m platform is not 33% more than a 9 m one.
- Rider capacity. A four-person raft slide needs a far wider flume and deeper pool than a single-rider flume.
- Theming. Standard colours are baseline. Sculpted themed elements are hand-finished and add 20–50% to a play structure.
- Order size. Container efficiency is real — two structures shipped together cost materially less per unit than two shipped apart.
- Certification scope. Cheaper specified at order than retrofitted.
Running costs people forget
Water at UAE tariffs, continuous pump load, chemicals, testing and record-keeping, supervision, and maintenance intervals shortened by Gulf UV and heat. Recirculation costs more to build and usually repays the difference within two seasons.
Getting a real number
