Water park equipment across the GCC

Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain — supplied from Dubai, with the conformity route each market requires.

The GCC is one climate and six regulatory regimes. The equipment specification barely changes between Riyadh and Muscat; the paperwork changes completely. Getting that wrong is what leaves containers sitting at a port.

Saudi Arabia

By some distance the largest current market. Giga-project and tourism development has created sustained demand for leisure and aquatic facilities, alongside steady hotel and residential work.

Conformity: SASO certification through the SABER platform. Both a product certificate and a shipment certificate are required before arrival. This is the single most common cause of delay for first-time importers into Saudi Arabia — start it at order, not at shipping.

Route: Direct sea freight to Jeddah or Dammam, or road freight from Dubai, which is often faster for smaller consignments and avoids a second port handling.

Note: Summer conditions in inland Saudi Arabia are more severe than coastal UAE. Shade and surface temperature specification matter even more.

Qatar

Steady hotel, resort and residential demand following sustained tourism investment. Sea freight to Hamad Port, or road via Saudi Arabia. Confirm current conformity requirements with your customs broker before shipping.

Kuwait

Predominantly residential and family entertainment centre demand, with indoor installations more common than in neighbouring markets given summer conditions. Sea freight to Shuwaikh or Shuaiba.

Oman

Resort and tourism development, particularly around Muscat and Salalah. Salalah's khareef season gives it a genuinely different climate profile from the rest of the GCC, which affects operating season planning. Sea freight to Sohar or Salalah, or road from the UAE.

Bahrain

A compact market with hotel, residential and leisure demand. Sea freight to Khalifa Bin Salman Port, or road via the causeway from Saudi Arabia.

What applies across the region

  • G-Mark applies to regulated product categories across GCC states. Whether specific equipment falls in scope depends on classification — confirm rather than assume.
  • Common external tariff is typically 5% of CIF value for this category, subject to classification.
  • Climate specification is common to all of it: UV-rated materials, light surfacing, shade, higher filtration loading for dust.
  • Standards. Consulting engineers across the region typically specify EN 1069 and EN 13451. See safety standards explained.

Working with us from outside the UAE

We quote delivered to your port or site so you can see the freight component rather than having it buried. We supply equipment only — civil works and installation are carried out by your contractor, and we provide the technical package your engineer needs.

Conformity certification takes longer than people expect. Tell us the destination country at enquiry stage, not at order stage, so the certification route runs alongside manufacture instead of after it.
