Quality and compliance

What documentation we provide, how we handle certification, and what we will not claim.

This page is where most supplier websites list logos. We would rather explain how the documentation actually works, because at tender stage that is what your engineer will test.

Our position on certification

We are a supply business. We do not manufacture, and therefore we do not hold manufacturing certifications in our own name. What we do is obtain the manufacturer's certification documentation for the products we quote, and issue it to you.

The distinction matters. A supplier claiming "CE certified" or "ISO 9001" without stating whose certificate it is, and which products it covers, is telling you very little. Ask any supplier — including us — for the certificate itself, the product it names, the issuing body and the expiry date.

What we provide with a quotation

  • Manufacturer certification documents we hold for the specific products quoted
  • Test report references where available
  • Dimensional drawings
  • Material specifications
  • Power, flow rate and pool requirements
  • Installation and operating documentation supplied by the manufacturer

Where a certificate does not exist for a specific product or destination market, we say so. We do not imply coverage we cannot evidence.

Standards that apply

  • EN 1069-1 and EN 1069-2 — water slides, safety requirements and instructions
  • EN 13451 — swimming pool equipment, general safety requirements
  • ASTM F2376 — the US water slide standard, where specified
  • EN 71-3 — element migration, for children's plastic components

Our safety standards guide explains what each covers and exactly which documents to demand.

Market conformity

Separate from product safety standards, each destination market has its own conformity requirement — G-Mark across the GCC, SASO via SABER for Saudi Arabia, SONCAP for Nigeria, KEBS PVoC for Kenya, and others. We coordinate these with the manufacturer for the destination you nominate.

Tell us the destination at enquiry stage. Certification obtained alongside manufacture costs time you were spending anyway; certification started at shipping stage costs demurrage.

Specification for this climate

Equipment specified for temperate markets frequently underperforms in the Gulf and equatorial Africa. Points we raise on every project:

  • UV rating of gelcoat and plastics, and what the warranty covers under Gulf exposure specifically
  • Surface temperature ratings for decks and slide surfaces — a genuine burn risk above 50 °C
  • Corrosion specification for fixings and steelwork, particularly coastal and humid installations
  • Filtration loading for dust, which exceeds manufacturers' default assumptions here

Pre-shipment inspection

For larger orders we recommend third-party pre-shipment inspection. It costs a fraction of a percent of order value and it is the only practical opportunity to catch a problem before equipment is on a ship. We will arrange it on request.

What we will not do

  • Claim certifications we cannot produce documents for
  • Present manufacturer photographs as our own completed installations
  • Quote a specification figure we have not verified with the manufacturer
  • Describe ourselves as a manufacturer, contractor or installer
