Dubai's aquatic market
Dubai has probably the highest density of hotel and resort aquatic facilities of any city, and the competitive pressure that comes with it. A four-star family property without a children's water feature is at a measurable disadvantage against the one next door that has one — which is why so much of the demand here is retrofit rather than new build.
That retrofit constraint shapes everything. The question is rarely "what would we build from scratch". It is "what fits on this deck, without closing the pool for a season, within this budget". Compact play structures, family wide slides and splash pad features on adjacent deck answer that. Tower slides usually do not.
Where the projects are
- Beachfront and marina hotels — retrofit into constrained deck space, with height and view restrictions
- Master-planned communities — community pool features specified through the developer's landscape contractor
- Desert and inland resorts — more space, fewer restrictions, and often larger structures
- Family entertainment centres — indoor and shaded installations, frequently within retail developments
- Schools and nurseries — small splash features with strict supervision and safety requirements
Constraints specific to Dubai
- Height. Aviation constraints apply in parts of the emirate, and view protection from neighbouring towers drives objections more often than planning height limits do.
- Deck space. Beachfront plots are tight. The clearances around a slide matter more than the slide footprint — see space requirements.
- Summer operation. An unshaded installation loses the middle of the day for much of the year. Shade belongs in the budget from the start.
- Approvals. Dubai Municipality requirements for aquatic facilities should be confirmed at design stage, before equipment is ordered.

Send plot dimensions and a height allowance and we will come back with what fits. For projects within Dubai we can visit the site to look at the deck, access and plant room location before quoting — that half hour usually removes more risk than a week of drawings.
To be clear about scope: we supply equipment. Civil works, pool construction and installation are carried out by your contractor. We provide the drawings, dimensions, power and flow requirements your engineer needs to design around the equipment.
